- We stayed in today as Yvonne spent much time sleeping, recovering from a 'fuzzy' period related to tumour / hormonal activity. The cool overcast weather wasn't all that inviting anyway!
- I spent some time researching historical sites to visit in the region, and planning a route to the scenic Lincolnshire wolds
- Have been enjoying Josh (and son Sean) McDowell's book 'More than a Carpenter' - especially Sean's treatment of how scientific discoveries at the genetic and cosmic level may refute claims of so-called 'new atheists'
- We enjoyed a fun supper out at an American 50's-style 'OK Diner' with a mixed grill and creamy abundant milkshakes

A Quiet Day for a Change

So sorry to hear of 'Vonnie's indisposition. I hope, most sincerely, that she is very much better very soon.
No doubt the two days rest will do you both a power of good.
I am curious to know - even though it is none of my business, why there appears to be reluctance to view York? There is so very much there from Viking artifacts and ships, to Roman remains and artifacts, to what has been described as the greatest religious building in Europe - York Minster. In addition it has a truly ancient shopping centre and a hisotry that stands comparison with any town in the land. I would urge you to reconsider any decision to 'give it a miss'.
I have today, finally looked out a host of photos for you both to view - when you feel like it of course - that should bring back memories AND show you the huge changes that 40 years can bring.
Sounds like a good meal!
